The Bespoke Process

If you are new to bespoke tailoring, we offer a helpful step-by-step guide below for what to expect.

Design

We begin with a design consultation where one of our tailors will guide you in selecting the right fabric from thousands of options. We walk you through all the different options for customizing the garments and adding personalized touches such as our selection of genuine horn buttons and stunning linings.

Measure

Once you’ve designed your garments, we’ll take your measurements, including your shoulder slope, posture, arm position, and preferences for fit.

Construction

Each bespoke garment starts with a hand drawn pattern based on your measurements.  Once the cloth is cut, we use the pattern to create and sew together panels of the suit using loose, cotton thread. This process is called basting and is a traditional element to the bespoke process.

Basted Fitting

The basted fitting is an essential part of our bespoke garments as it allows us to perfect the pattern. During the fitting stage, we make any necessary adjustments and update your pattern for the final garment. After the basted fitting is completed, we take the garment apart and re-cut the fabric to the new pattern.

Final Fitting & Delivery

Based on what we learned during the basted fitting about the fit and feel of the garments, we complete the garments.  Once competed we have a final fitting where the suit is fully formed and you get to see all your design choices come together. At this stage we might do final adjustments to the fit or send you home with your unique new garments.
